The Duchess has a new ‘do!

The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, stepped out to the Emma Bridgewater factory in Stoke-on-Trent, England on Wednesday, Feb. 18, where she was spotted rocking a fresh take on her go-to half-up hairstyle.

Bundled up in a cornflower blue Sportmax coat, Middleton, 33, modeled a bouncy blowout, complete with curled ends. But instead of the hair being gathered from behind her ears, she left more down, having the style sweep up closer to her temples. Not straying too far from one of her familiar looks, the Duchess secured the tresses in a loose knot at the crown of her head.

Also on display at the engagement (thanks to the very cheeky British winds, which blew up Middleton’s coat): a blue and green Seraphine “Florrie” dress (which she also wore to visit Family Friends in January). Prince George‘s mom finished the look with her navy blue Jimmy Choo “Georgia” heels and L.K. Bennett’s “Frome” clutch.

Middleton was on hand at the factory to see the production of a charity mug she helped to create, which boasts a delicate ladybird and floral design. The cups, which are currently available for pre-order, will help the Duchess raise money for the sick children and their families at the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. (The mugs retail for 20 pounds each or 40 pounds for two, with 10 pounds going to charity.)

After seeing her pieces on the production line, Middleton met with families from the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice for a ceramics making workshop, where she tried her hand at painting her own pottery. Later, Prince William‘s wife was presented with a painting of the area’s Lake District, completed just for her by a 16-year-old girl named Chloe, who is being cared for at the Donna Louise Hospice.

According to royal sources, creating a line of mugs with Emma Bridgewater, who’s manufactured ceramics since 1985 and has created a number of charity collections through the years, was Middleton’s own idea. “It was the Duchess’s idea to approach Emma, whom she didn’t know previously, and she helped in the design process,” an aide told Us Weekly.
