Say my name, say my name! Reese Witherspoon doled out important advice to Cara Delevingne after the Met Gala on Monday, May 5. In new Instagram videos posted—and promptly deleted—by the British supermodel on Thursday, Witherspoon was seen fiddling with her phone and being her friendly self.
The first clip uploaded showed Witherspoon, Zooey Deschanel, Kate Upton, and Tennessee Thomas, huddled together in an elevator. “The confusion @reesewitherspoon @zooeydeschanel @tennesseebunny @kateupton #HAHAHAHA #loveyouladies,” the Brit wrote. In it, the Legally Blonde star joked to Delevingne, “If you force me to say your last name, I’ll be f—ed.”
A subsequent Instagram video posted by Delevingne, 21, featured Witherspoon, 38, attempting to pronounce the model’s name. “I love you Caara, Car-a,” the sassy blonde said to the willowy It Girl. “I don’t know what your f—ing name is,” Witherspoon joked, as she slowly pronounced, “Del-e-ving-ne.”
Witherspoon then quipped, “The most important thing for a name for a girl is that a man can whisper it in his pillow.” Clearly not offended by Witherspoon’s flub, Delevingne captioned the hilarious video: “I ??U @reesewitherspoon #wisewords #loveitwhenyousaymyname #cheeky.”
It appears the stars had an amazing night out at the annual NYC ball. Witherspoon posted a photo of Rihanna, Kate Bosworth, designer Stella McCartney, and Delevingne, together at the Met Gala.
“Gorgeous dates,” she wrote, while tagging her pals, “@badgalriri @caradelivgne #katebosworth @stellamccartney #metball.” (Witherspoon, it’s worth noting, managed to tag the wrong Cara Delevingne username handle.)
