The Real Housewives of Rhode Island star Rulla Pontarelli is debuting a new look.
“You look zhuzhed in the face. Talk to me about what’s different,” host Andy Cohen said during the Sunday, June 21, part one of the reunion.
Rulla then confirmed she underwent plastic surgery.
“Well, after 25 years of debate, I finally decided to go ahead and go ahead and get my rhinoplasty and a very minuscule lip lift while I was at it,” she said.
Rulla’s cosmetic journey wasn’t the only thing discussed during part one of the reunion. In the episode, Rulla discussed her relationship with husband Brian Pontarelli — a topic on the series amid allegations he’s having an affair with another woman.
Throughout the series, Rulla has been candid about the time that Brian did step out of their marriage in the summer of 2024. Rulla, however, has shared that Brian’s romance with the alleged other woman came to an end years ago.
“Brian is the person who I’ve known my entire life. For any mistakes or misjudgements he’s made, I can honestly tell everyone that he has more than repented his sins,” Rulla exclusively told Us Weekly in April. “I think everyone will see that. For people who might say, ‘Oh, my God, after what he did, I can’t believe she’s with him or taking him back and she doesn’t need him,’ I feel like for a woman with values, it actually makes you a stronger person.”
Rulla went on to note that “people have lapses of judgment, a lot of people out there have lapses of judgment, or their husbands or their wives have, but it just never came to light, or they never admitted it.”
“There’s a lot of that stuff that goes on that we don’t know about, or that’s never admitted. In this case, certain things were brought to light and I’ve navigated them as best as possible,” she said. “I truly take things day by day.”
Rulla went on to reference her drama with costar Jo-Ellen Tiberi, who had been attempting to get proof that Brian was again being unfaithful.
“I’m on top of things, let’s put it that way, so Jo-Ellen doesn’t need to be,” Rulla said.
Jo-Ellen, for her part, shared a message of support for Rulla during an exclusive interview with Us.
“What happened to Rulla is really unfortunate. It’s not a secret, I’m not a fan of Rulla’s husband. I don’t think he’s a great person, and I think she is,” Jo-Ellen said at the time. “I think she’s a really smart, brilliant, beautiful woman who doesn’t deserve some of the things that he put her through.”
