To mark the change of seasons (and the completion of filming for Modern Family's fifth season), Sarah Hyland did what most women would: She visited her hairstylist for a refresh.

The actress, 23, debuted new blonde ombre hair color and a layered cut at the Marie Claire Fresh Faces party on Tuesday, April 8, in West Hollywood. "I wanted to be more summery and stuff," Hyland told Us Weekly. "My hair has been short since last summer, but the show had me get extensions."
After wrapping the ABC series in late March, celeb stylist and co-owner of Nine Zero One Salon in LA Nikki Lee removed the extensions — and Hyland was quick to share an after-picture on Instagram. "And the extensions are out!! Thank you @nikkilee901 for my fantabulous hair!! #gettinstronger" she wrote on April 3.
The removal of the extensions wasn't the only change the petite star made. She also added blonde ombre highlights — and she's not regretting it. Hyland told Us of her new look, "I love it!"
