SJP in D.C.! Sarah Jessica Parker is a tried-and-true New Yorker, with her West Village brownstone and her iconic role as Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City. But the designer, 51, isn’t opening her very first SJP Collection storefront on Madison Avenue. Instead, she’s taking her talents to MGM National Harbor in Washington, D.C., where she’ll open the store doors on Friday, December 9.

“Opening a standalone store has long been a dream we have been working towards and we feel truly privileged to be doing so with the expertise, guidance and support of our brilliant partners at MGM Resorts,” Parker said in a Tuesday, November 29, release. “It’s been very exciting to have been involved in all steps of the process, from on-site construction visits to the actual layout and design of our boutique. I'm honored to be included in this massive undertaking and I'm very much looking forward to celebrating in December. Because perhaps then I will believe it's real."

She shared the news with her 3 million Instagram followers as well, posting a photo of business partner George Malkemus III and herself at the construction site. “After many trips on @amtrak to DC, on-site construction visits, meetings on design and curating a very special collection we are opening our first standalone,” she wrote on November 29. “I’m counting down the hours, minutes and seconds until we officially open the doors.”

Parker has plenty of products to sell in the shop, nestled within the $1.4 billion riverside resort. The SJP Collection boutique will feature her collection of shoes, accessories, handbags and her recently-announced SJP LBD collection. And with options ranging from $30 to $695, there’s something for everyone.
