He’s saved by the bell — and we’re absolutely smitten! Prince George donned a smart ensemble for his first day at the Westacre Montessori School in Norfolk, England, on Wednesday, January 6, and Us Weekly has all the details.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge‘s 2-year-old boy bundled up in a blue quilted coat by John Lewis, with red plaid lining and suede elbow patches. (While his jacket has sold out, a similar style by the British fashion house is available for $52 at JohnLewis.com.)

And of course, no school outfit is complete without the perfect backpack! George’s knapsack of choice: a sky-blue number with an extra storage pocket in the front.

The future king can be seen wearing both of these pieces in his first-day-of-school photos, which were snapped by his mom, Kate Middleton, and posted via Kensington Palace’s social channels. @KensingtonRoyal shared: “Prince George arrives for his first day at Westacre Montessori School nursery in Norfolk today. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released two photographs to mark the occasion. They show Prince George standing in front of the mural on the outside of the nursery building.”
