Let ’er rip! Instead of shrinking away from her wardrobe malfunction, Sarah Jessica Parker embraced it during the Thursday, October 6, episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live.
The Divorce star, 51, looked prim and proper in a green velvet Alberta Ferretti gown dress with a touch of lace on the collar along with a a glittery pair of teal pumps from her own SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker shoe line. But she turned the clubhouse upside down after she revealed that the sleeves of the frock were ripped! Watch how she reacted in the video above!
“I love the dress. I borrowed it,” she explained of the number. “This in no way reflects on the House of Ferretti.”
Even though most would view the massive eyesores, Parker insisted that they added character to the look. “I kind of dig this. It does something to this dress,” she joked.
But Parker, who played Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City, does have one major sartorial regret: her wedding dress. The actress, who’s been married to Matthew Broderick for 19 years, wore black instead of traditional white to walk down the aisle. When Andy Cohen, the show’s host and her close friend, heralded the decision as “badass,” she begged to differ and insisted that she’d do it differently.
“Oh, I wish it was because I was badass,” Parker, who shares three children with Broderick, responded. “I just was too embarrassed to spend any time looking for a wedding dress. There was a store that I liked that I knew, and I just went and got whatever they had hanging.”
