Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello somehow managed to make themselves even more attractive for a night out honoring Sophia Loren on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
The Modern Family actress, 42, accompanied her beau to the 2014 AFI Fest in Los Angeles while clad in a floral strapless cocktail dress, complete with a peplum that enhanced her already bombshell curves. Vergara added bold chandelier earrings, one of her favorite accessories, and an embellished envelope clutch to her ensemble.
Meanwhile, Manganiello, 37, looked handsome next to his lady, all suited up in sleek separates and a printed tie.
While it was a rare public appearance for the pair, there’s no doubt how the Colombian actress is feeling about her plus-one. “Very special night! With my love at the Afi festival honoring the one and only Sophia Loren,” the actress captioned a couple shot on her Instagram page.
Vergara and Manganiello stepped out together to honor another Sofia: Sophia Loren, the iconic Italian actress. Loren, 80, has been back in the news lately since opening up about the famous photo where she side-eyed Jayne Mansfield. (“I’m staring at her nipples because I am afraid they are about to come onto my plate!” she revealed.)
Nevertheless, the 2014 AFI Fest tribute was all about Loren. “A tribute is always a wonderful thing and my heart is really full,” Loren told Us Weekly on the carpet.
When asked how she stays radiant, Loren quipped, “There is no secret. I was born beautiful darling. Joking! I’m joking.”
