It happens, girl! The always impeccably styled Taylor Swift stepped out onto the streets of NYC on Wednesday, Oct. 7. And while her signature cat-eye was on point, per usual, her concealer was a little less ideally applied.
The “Blank Space” singer, 25, modeled blushed cheeks, a bubblegum lip, and ghost-white splotches beneath her eyes. (That sneaky setting powder strikes again!)
Slight beauty mishap aside, her ensemble was classic Swift refinement. The “Bad Blood” belter, who’s been dating DJ Calvin Harris since this past spring, worked a skintight black turtleneck tucked into high-waisted skinny jeans and accessorized with stiletto ankle booties.
While Swift’s makeup malfunction is a rare sight for the star, makeup artist Jamie Greenberg previously told Us that it can happen to anyone—easily! “What looks perfect in normal lighting can appear totally different when you have the harsh lights of flashing cameras on you,” the pro, who works with Kaley Cuoco, said. “Many women think you can just touch up with any powder…but all powders have different finishing textures.”
So how do you avoid having this happen to you at home? Blend, blend, blend. “If you use a powder that’s super fine and you don’t fully blend it, you can easily get the dreaded powder face, especially when you’re photographed,” Greenberg explained.
