Gift goals! Tinsley Mortimer went all out for Leah McSweeney’s 38th birthday on Thursday, August 27, by surprising her with a little party… and a pink Chanel bag!
The fashion designer posted a series of photos and videos to her Instagram feed from her birthday festivities. “Thank you my love @tinsleymortimer and Scott and of course my Kiki for making my birthday extra extra special. THIRTY EIGHT⚡️ DON’T HATE 💞.”
The friends took a trip to Park City, Utah, where Mortimer, her fiancé Scott Kluth and McSweeney’s 12-year-old daughter, Kier, surprised The Real Housewives of New York star with a celebration. The Married to the Mob founder shared a video of the adorable party details: personalized balloons, sweet treats, and of course, that drool-worthy Chanel bag.

This isn’t the first time that Mortimer’s purchased a designer bag as a gift for a friend. Dutiful fans of the Bravo show likely remember when the Florida native gave Sonja Morgan a Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag in 2017.
“I loved surprising Sonja with the penthouse suite and Louis Vuitton Neverfull when she came to stay with me at the hotel,” Mortimer wrote in a BravoTv.com blog post on July 7, 2018. “It’s always fun planning and thanking people properly for ANYTHING they have done.”
This gift to Morgan was a way of saying thank you after Mortimer stayed at her Upper East Side townhouse while she got adjusted after moving back to NYC. But tensions arose when Morgan didn’t feel as though her fellow RHONY star was grateful for giving her a place to stay. The purse was just one of the ways that the High Society alum showed her appreciation after the fact.
“So if Sonja felt my thank you last year was lacking, I do hope she knows now that I sincerely and genuinely appreciate her generosity in allowing me to stay with her,” she added.
