Fashion do's, fall must-haves, and red carpet radiance! Lily Aldridge, Adriana Lima and many more stepped out in their chicest looks for Us Weekly's Most Stylish New Yorkers Party during New York Fashion Week in NYC on Wednesday, Sept. 10. Some waxed about their fashion obsessions and their favorite hairstyles, while others gave a crucial lesson on taking the best, yep, selfie!
"I'm really open minded about fashion," designer and honoree Cynthia Rowley told Us at Queen of the Night at the Paramount Hotel. "I love to see even extreme. Nothing surprises me and I think that's pretty exciting."
Someone who's definitely taken chances with her style is Orange Is the New Black's Taryn Manning. "I like to change my hair just because when I do different roles — when I'm done, I like to get back to Taryn," the honoree explained.
As for Laguna Beach and The Hills alum Lo Bosworth — well, not as much. "It's fashion week, so there's hip women everywhere, so I honestly picked something kind of understated and chic," said Bosworth, dressed in a head-to-toe black ensemble. "So I don't have to compete with all those crazy outfits!"
The night's revelers were completely divided on the matter of selfies. "You just have to lift up [the camera] a little," Aldridge demonstrated for Us.
Today show king Matt Lauer, meanwhile, is over the fad. "I'm on a campaign to hopefully bring selfies to an end within the next year or two," he joked.
Musician St. Vincent couldn't agree more with the Today show co-anchor. Why doesn't she take them? "I don't do that because it makes me feel emptiness inside," the singer-songwriter deadpanned.
Other honorees and stars who graced the red carpet included Alan Cumming, Jamie Chung, MTV star Diem Brown, Good Morning America co-anchor Amy Robach, New York Rangers hunk Carl Hagelin, the casts of OITNB and Real Housewives of New Jersey, and Bachelor couple Sean Lowe and wife Catherine Giudice.
