Comfy Spice? Victoria Beckham, who rarely was spotted without limb-lengthening stilettos, has forsaken high heels.
"I just can't do heels anymore. At least not when I'm working," Beckham, 41, who was famously ordered by her doctors to stop wearing tall shoes during 2011 New York Fashion Week, told The Telegraph. "I travel a lot. Clothes have to be simple and comfortable."
In fact, the mother of four wore white sneakers with a cozy sweater to her own runway show during New York Fashion Week on February 14.
It’s not just about shoes, though, it's about function. Beckham's gradual transformation has happened right under our noses. While perfectly tailored outfits and five-inch heels used to be her jet-setting uniform of choice (case in point: her ensemble from May 2015, in which she donned a pink pantsuit with black pumps at JFK) she's recently been photographed wearing white tennis shoes and relaxed slacks while traveling the world. A day after landing in London post-NYFW, she was spotted pairing white sliders with a black overcoat.
Don't think she's sworn off heels entirely, though. The Spice Girls alum still rocks her sky-high kicks when she poses on the red carpet. Just take a look at the black suede pumps she modeled while sporting a tuxedo-inspired pantsuit at the British Fashion Awards in November 2015.
