Just changing it up! Julianne Hough didn’t need to take off major inches to switch up her hair. Instead she added layers and texture for an updated version of a retro style.
The Dancing With the Stars judge, 27, showed off a new “modern-day shag” ‘do via Instagram Friday, March 4, after a visit to Riawna Capri of Nine Zero One Salon. The celeb stylist tells Us that it is the perfect way to transition growing tresses.
“The shag is perfect for the in-between stage of growing out your hair,” Capri (BFF to Hough) told Us Weekly exclusively. “It gives you something a little different without cutting off your length.”
With her upcoming wedding, it’s no wonder Hough doesn’t want to lose length, but the style allowed her to feel a little spunky while she waits it out. “We are growing her hair out, but as we all know, that gets boring!” Capri, whose clients also include Selena Gomez, Nina Dobrev and Hilary Duff, continues. “What I love about Jules is she is always ready to switch it up! We decided to do a beautiful beige blonde with a little modern-day shag at this length, and who knows, maybe there will be some bangs in the near future!”
