Miranda Kerr is breaking down her reasoning behind turning down a potential return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
“20 years since my first @victoriassecret show 🪽,” Kerr, 43, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, October 17. “Looking back with so much gratitude for the friendships, the magical memories and for everyone who made that chapter of my life so special.”
She continued, “It meant so much to be invited to return this year, especially as it marks 20 years since my first show…. but I ultimately felt in my heart it was right to cherish this chapter as it was. Sending so much love and light to everyone in this years show! 💖🌈🧚♀️.”
Alongside the message, Kerr shared several throwback photos of her posing on the runway at the event. In the comments section, Victoria’s Secret supported Kerr and wrote, “Always an Angel to us 💖🪽.”
Weeks before her statement, Kerr made a surprise return to the runway at Paris Fashion Week during the Stella McCartney Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027 Fashion Show.
At the event, Kerr stunned in a seafoam green gown that featured dramatic shoulder pads and a bodycon skirt. The dress was knotted at the waist with cutouts at the hip that showed off her abs.
Kerr held a snakeskin clutch and finished off the look with silver heels. She styled her hair into a slicked braided ponytail and donned glowy makeup.
“Still smiling from this morning 🤍 ,” she wrote via Instagram at the time, sharing several behind-the-scenes shots. “Thank you @stellamccartney for such a special return to the runway.”
Prior to the show, Kerr’s last appearance on a runway was for Moschino in 2017. She has, however, appeared on several red carpets since — including the 2026 Met Gala, where she walked with husband Evan Spiegel.
For fashion’s biggest night, Kerr stunned in a custom Dior design by Jonathan Anderson white dress with peplum waist and tiny flower embellishments. Kerr told Vogue that she worked with makeup artist Tobi Henney to create a beauty look that aligned with the “delicate and feminine” feeling of her gown.
“I wanted it to feel classic and refined, but still modern, something that enhances natural beauty rather than overpowering it,” she told the outlet at the time, while Henney added that the inspiration behind the look was “conceived as a modern ode to Audrey Hepburn’s enduring elegance — timeless, refined, yet subtly reimagined for today.”
Henney continued, “The intention was simple: to enhance Miranda’s natural beauty with a classic, romantic softness that feels both effortless and striking under the lights.”
