C'mon, Vogue!

The New York Post's Page Six reports that Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, 61, is "quietly but persuasively campaigning" to get the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, on the fashion mag's cover.

Wintour has been reportedly trying to woo Middleton, 29, via photographer Mario Testino, who shot the royal couple's engagement photos in 2010.

"Every magazine has been trying to get Kate, and many assume it will eventually be Vogue," a source tells Page Six. "But even with the Mario Testino relationship, it is not clear when this will happen. The Palace must approve it, and they are very protective of Kate."

Indeed, a second source confirms to Us Weekly that there are no plans to put The Duchess on the cover of Vogue — or any magazine — in the near future.
