Zendaya embraced her inner Grecian goddess in support of her new movie The Odyssey for the highly-anticipated film’s London photocall.
Zendaya, 29, stunned in a white, custom Jacquemus halter gown for the Sunday, July 5, press event. She completed her show-stopping look with a coordinating head scarf connected to the back of the dress via elegant drapery. Zendaya also sported gold, round drop earrings embossed with sun imagery.
“The Essence of Athena…… Z wearing custom @jacquemus,” Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, revealing the inspiration behind the mesmerizing look.
Zendaya was joined on the red carpet by director Christopher Nolan and costars Benny Safdie, Lupita Nyong’o, John Leguizamo, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Himesh Patel, Samantha Morton, Emma Thomas and Zendaya’s husband, Tom Holland.
The star-studded cast are set to share the screen in Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s epic of the same name. In both the book and film, Odysseus (Damon) embarks on a dangerous voyage home following the Trojan War, encountering a slew of mythological characters along the way.

Zendaya, as her Sunday outfit inspiration suggests, plays goddess Athena.
“[Nolan is] incredible. What he also inspires in the people that he works with is such a determined work ethic and people, really, who are such masters of their craft,” Zendaya recalled of production during a Collider interview published Saturday, July 4. “I’m really being present in those moments and looking around and trying to be as much of a sponge as possible because you just genuinely can’t believe the places that you’re in and what you’re looking at, with so much being done practically.”
She continued, “Even I got a peek behind the curtain. I got to see things being made that I was like, ‘How did you…? How is this…? How?’ Even watching it back, I still am blown away. The magic is not lost at all, having seen it be made in real life and knowing how it was done. It’s really extraordinary.”
