The Country Music Association Awards red carpet has seen no shortage of ten-gallon hats or leather. But the best celebrity looks on country’s biggest night take a decidedly more glamorous approach.
Katy Perry is the perfect example of how to do both with aplomb. In 2021, she turned heads in a body-skimming custom Vivienne Westwood leather column before following it up the next year in a denim-on-denim replete with raw-finish frayed edges.
Nicole Kidman is another standout, often using the opportunity to flash a little skin while on the arm of Keith Urban. The Perfect Couple actor stunned in a Saint Laurent cutout one-shoulder black dress in 2021 that bared her midriff then the next year, took to another daring LBD with a plunging neckline.
Other memorable moments have brought out more-is-more color. Case in point: Cynthia Erivo, who looked like a walking work of art in 2022 decked out in a purple satin gown covered in a vibrant illustration.
