This is not a belated April Fools’ joke, people — Amy Poehler is a redhead!
The Parks and Recreation actress, 43, unveiled her bright strawberry strands at the 60th Anniversary of Allen Ginsberg’s Howl With Music, Words, and Funny People event on Tuesday, April 7, in L.A. Poehler hit the stage dressed in a sleek black suit, sporting minimal makeup.
The natural blonde is not typically one to toy around with hair changes — give or take side swept bangs or loose waves. While Poehler didn’t give any hints on what prompted the makeover, the funny lady did trade jokes with her fellow SNL alum Chris Parnell as her boyfriend Nick Kroll looked on from the audience.
“Now a lot of people don’t know that I love poetry, but I hate rap music,” Poehler said. “I love rap music, but I despise poetry,” Parnell, 48, replied.
“So we’re going to do a little something that we love and we hate,” Poehler announced. The duo went on to perform a freestyle rap to Allen Ginsberg’s poem The Ballad of Skeletons.
