The sexier side to LC! Lauren Conrad gave fans a more sultry look at her style on the April 2014 cover of Allure, which hits stands on March 31. The clothing designer and best-selling author, 28, looked stunning with dark, smokey eyes and free-flowing, relaxed wavy hair.

Hailing from Laguna Beach, Calif., the former Hills star has mastered the laid-back-yet-trendy beach vibe. And she had tips for those looking to emulate her chic beach babe style.

"Take any trend you want and relax it. That’s how California does it," the engaged starlet revealed. "If it’s silk button-up shirts that are in, you probably don’t button them all the way, and you cuff a sleeve, you know what I mean? It’s almost like how your outfit looks at the end of the day.”

And though her look may be relaxed, Conrad has plenty on her plate -- running several websites, working in fashion, planning a wedding, and writing books. So how does she keep from bringing her work home?

“Your bed is for sleep and sex,” Conrad quipped as a reminder to not work in bed. And after her fiancé William Tell moved into her Brentwood, Calif. home, the former reality star revealed that she's had to tone down her love for feminine decor.

“If it was up to me, my home would just be over-the-top girlie and vintage, but I share my home with a gentleman now,” she dished. And though her personal life aired on both Laguna Beach and The Hills, Conrad has effectively managed to keep a relatively clean image.

“Doing reality television for such a long time made a big difference," she revealed. "People were in my bedroom. You have to represent yourself well no matter what you do.”
