Lauren Conrad Reveals Purple Hair on April Fools' Day: Picture
Did Lauren Conrad have a change of heart, or is she just pulling an April Fools' Day joke on all her fans? The Paper Crown designer took to her blog on Tuesday, April 1, to share a photo of herself with lavender hair -- and while it looks great, odds are good it's not real, since Conrad told Us Weekly just last month that she's not into the purple hair trend.
"I'm not a big fan of purple as a color!" the former Hills star, 28, told Us in early March. "It looks great on [other people] but not me." Her hue-of-choice, she said, is pink. "I have pink hair dye in my shower, and sometimes for fun I'll do it on a Friday and then have pink hair for the weekend," she explained. "It washes out! I'm not fully committed to color, but once in a while, it's fun."
On her blog Tuesday, Conrad claimed she'd changed her mind about lilac locks. "This time, I decided to take the plunge and try a semi-permanent color," she wrote. "This one stays in for 6 to 8 weeks before washing out. I really didn't think that purple was my color, but after seeing several others wear it recently, I decided to give it a try."
She added: "It just goes to show that you should never knock a trend until you try it. What do you think of my purple locks? Would you ever dye your hair a pastel shade?"
