The cosmetics pro, who also works with Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Uzo Aduba, created Nyong’o’s beauty look using Lancome Color Design 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in Kissed By Gold, a mix of brown, bronze, yellow, and pink shimmers. “The palette is one of Lupita’s favorites, but I made it more dramatic tonight by applying it wet with a dampened brush, so that it looked extra metallic,” Barose explains.

On her lips, Barose says he added one of his favorite new lip shades for fall: Lancome L’absolu Rouge in the bronzed berry shade, Jezebel.
