From crystal-covered bras to denim thongs, Rihanna certainly knows how to make a statement. And occasionally the superstar does so in super-minimalist style. The "Diamonds" singer, 25, was spotted on the balcony of her Auckland, New Zealand hotel on Oct. 6 without a stitch of makeup on.
RiRi was wearing a T-shirt that reads "Blow Me" with dandelions on it and a pair of unzipped and unbuttoned jeans.
Clearly photographers caught the star before her glam squad arrived, but she still managed to relay her tough-girl persona without an ounce of concealer or mascara. She was also rocking a shaved undercut hairstyle, which has become a signature look for the Bajan beauty.
The six-time Grammy winner is currently in New Zealand for her globe trotting Diamonds World Tour, which concludes next month in New Orleans. She recently released the salacious music video for her new single, "Pour It Up," which was basically a how-to guide for twerking and pole dancing (take notes, Miley Cyrus!). In the video, "Bad Gal" RiRi sits atop her throne showering herself with money as strippers dance in a pool of water around her.
Despite her wild child appearance, Rihanna recently declared that she has "become a square" and "hates partying," so maybe this laid-back look is an early sign of her winding down. Or not.
