Celebs’ Hot Braided Hairstyles on the Red Carpet

For the faux hawk style at the reopening of the Salvatore Ferragamo store in L.A., celeb stylist Kylee Heath created six ponytails down the back of Shipka’s head. She then twisted and knotted them together, securing with pins as she went. After, Heath did an inside-out French braid with the front section of Shipka’s hair and twisted it into place.

The new redhead wore a bold braided style to the Inherent Vice premiere. After making a clean center part, celeb hairstylist Bobby Eliot applied Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray for control and Dutch braided each side. He then crisscrossed the plaits, tucking the ends under and pinning. For polish and texture, he used Oribe Smooth Style Serum on his hands and pulled the braid out.

For the While We're Young premiere at TIFF 2014, Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist Jenny Cho plaited a romantic ponytail for the actress. "I decided to do a French twist with a knot into a ponytail," she said. After making a side part and spraying Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Weightless Dry Shampoo at the roots, she French-braided each side, joining them together and finishing at the nape. Cho tied a knot with the loose ends and secured with an elastic and bobby pins.

Celeb hairstylist Renato Campora created a faux undercut for the Sin City actress at Comic-Con. "I wanted to create a hairstyle that was easy for her to manage throughout the day," Campora told Us. To copy the style, make a part from the top of the head all the way to the nape of the neck. Then create a flat braid from the front to the back and secure with a small elastic, making sure the plait ends underneath the loose hair from the right side.

Two for one! The Bridge star wore a unique braided hairstyle to the premiere of the FX show's second season in West Hollywood. Celeb hairstylist Kylee Heath first created a triangle section in the back of her head, then wove a tight inside-out French braid. He then loosely French braided the remaining hair over it, securing it all with an elastic.
