Drew Carey Drops 70 Lbs; "I Got Sick of Being Fat"

Drew Carey has dropped a reported 70 lbs. -- and he tells UsMagazine.com he couldn't feel better.
"I just got sick of being fat," he told Us Wednesday at the 2010 CBS Summer Press Tour Party in Beverly Hills.

In early May, the National Enquirer reported that The Price Is Right host, 52, was dieting and working out. A month later, it claimed Carey was using an "custom-made appetite suppressant administered by a Hollywood nutritionist."
But Carey told Us he's been following a cardio program, "so there's nobody really standing over me. I do work with somebody who gives me advice on what to do, how many minutes to run, what my heart rate should be and all that kind of stuff."
Carey, who said he is no longer diabetic, told Us he wants to lose more weight "so I can be looking that great at 86."
Added the actor, "My fiancee has a 5-year old, and wow, I'd love to see him graduate. I'd love to be able play with him without getting tired, enjoy my life and watch him grow."

Though he still eats meat, he told Us he has one strict food rule: "No donuts!"

wow wtg drew I just love u and I think that your are way better on the price is right then bob baker was your not scared of the people and I love watching when u get there and jump up and down with the people and how u are always thinking and telling the models how well they look and stuff like that. Omg. I Love Drew....I liked he better the other way, but you know he feels better, and he is much heathier so im happy for him he will always have a place in my heart skinny or not.
Dawn is wrong. Type 2 diabetes is generally caused by obesity. I have it and so did Drew. Lose the weight you lose the diabetes. Type 1 is entirely different. There is no cure.
Well unfortunately Drew is still diabetic. Once a diabetic always a diabetic there is no cure! He may have his diabetes under control but rest assured it hasn't gone away

@size no matter - I think YOUR comment is ignorant! He's finally looking good and healthy. I am all for not pushing twiggy girls to lose weight but that doesn't mean someone that is clearly overweight should have excuses made for them. HE says he was overweight and sick of it and good for him. You are an idiot!
Be slim that was a frigging ignorant comment. He looks sick and pale. he looked better before IMO. If you don't like someone with a few extra pounds you don't need to look at them!

gutsygirl: It is very possible to lose that weight without surgery, what an ignorant thing to say! Lee: They don't have an exact quote on that one, so he might not have said it went away. With the weight loss and exercise, he probably no longer has the symptoms and it's under control. Unless he stops exercising or gains the weight back, it's almost like he no longer has it, just so that people don't get discouraged by reading it never goes away.
I have always been a fan of Drew. I saw him in one of the hallways in Vegas. What a great guy! He is sporting a great look now...Very healthy:)
He looks great. I am so happy for him. He should be very proud.
