They'd make beautiful babies together, but George Clooney and girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis aren't going to have children.

In an interview with the Italian edition of Cosmopolitan magazine, Canalis, 32, confessed "[Getting pregnant has] never been an objective for me." The Italian model and actress is instead, content with her pets. "My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs."

Clooney, 49, has made his desire to live child-free known before. "I don't have any interest in [having kids]," he told Vogue in 2000. "I just don't think that it's something you can do casually." Though friends have been quick to disagree. In 1996, Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman notoriously bet Clooney $10,000 each that he'd be a father by the time he was 40. That was almost ten years ago.

For now, he and Canalis are content enjoying each other's company. "We love the coast, the Pacific Highway, with its rocks, the surfers and the ocean." And she loves hanging on Clooney's arm. "I love it to bits. I am happy to participate at events as the 'girlfriend of.' "

And it's a good thing she enjoys the title "girlfriend" -- Clooney appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight in January and said that though he was married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993, he has no plans to wed again. "I hate to blow your whole news story, but I was married, so I gave it a shot," he said.

So much time has been put into promoting Piers Morgan. Not to mention the money. There was replacement for Larry King. Why market Piers as a replacement? Larry King told a BBC radio show on Thursday that his successor, Piers Morgan, "may have been oversold" This seems to be a given with Morgan's interview surrounding Donald Trump. Instead of getting more answers from Trump, Morgan turned to self-promotion. This made Morgan come off as desperate. Pity, he has experience. Piers Morgan knows better. Get great interviews. Collect stories the public can admire (from those outstanding interviews). Then allow the viewers to enjoy your show. Stop trying to be great, use your talent. Stop trying. Get the interview. Collect the story. Let us like you. Self-promotion at your level in the media is shameless. You come off as a rookie sophmore instead of a professor with an advance degree in journalism. I agree that not all women need children to feel satisfied, but George is just taking advantage of this woman. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

well i don't think she's in denial, some people just don't want the same things that the majority of people do. Just because one isn't married or doesn't have kids doesn't mean they aren't content with their lives

I don't want children. Some women just don't need children to be happy.

Her statements are what women always say when their boyfriends refuse to marry them, or have children with them. It's called denial. I'm sure her dogs satisfy her maternal needs, what a joke! She'll wake up one day and realize she has nothing, but an old man next to her, who doesn't love her enough to marry her or have children with her. That guy is so full of himself, it's pretty sad. He's also super anti-American! He infuriated me when he called Christmas an archaic holiday, which he does not celebrate, and thinks it's a joke. But, of course, Hollywood loves him! I don't see the fascination with his looks, either! He's not attractive whatsoever.
