One year after they famously announced their “conscious uncoupling,” amicable exes Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin jetted off for a family vacation in Costa Careyes, Mexico earlier this week.
Paltrow and Martin, who have since been linked to producer Brad Falchuk and Jennifer Lawrence, respectively, spent much of their six-night vacation relaxing on the beach while their kids, Apple and Moses, played in the water.
“Gwyneth and Chris had a lot of one-on-one time while the kids were off playing with their friends,” an eyewitness tells Us of Martin, 38, and Paltrow, 42, who called it quits last March after ten years of marriage. “They seemed very comfortable and happy together. You wouldn’t know by looking at them that they aren’t together. They were very loving and friendly.”
The Goop guru showed off her bikini bod in a strapless green bandeau top and matching bottoms on March, 31. The following day, the Oscar-winning actress opted for a scalloped black Marysia two-piece while reading on the beach.
“Chris went on a few surf trips while Gwyneth stayed back at the beach with the kids,” the observer added of the Coldplay frontman, who donned swim trunks and a rash guard.
“There was always a lot of laughter and stories being told between them,” the source says of the happy modern clan, who would eat their meals together outside on the sand. “They seem like a very happy family.”
