Forget his talked-about love life. Justin Timberlake is coming clean about one not-so-secret vice: He smokes pot.

"Absolutely," the singer-actor, 30, tells Playboy magazine when asked if he's a pot-smoker. Why the weed?

"The only thing pot does for me is it gets me to stop thinking," the Bad Teacher star explains. "Sometimes I have a brain that needs to be turned off. Some people are just better high."

High or not, Timberlake says he's ready to slow down and chill. "I feel I'm just getting to a point in my life where I'm looking around, going, There's a lot to enjoy if I can just sit still, actually stop and take more time."

Part of that time out means no new music on the immediate horizon for the platinum-selling singer. "I don't have a single song ready to go," admits the star, who hasn't released an album since 2006 smash FutureSex/LoveSounds. "People keep asking me when a new song or album is coming out, and I don't know what to say. Music is not my focus right now. It may be someday. It could happen next month or next year but right now it's not where it's at for me."

Maybe that switch from music to film is why he's stuck around longer than other boybanders. "You always need to be learning something new," he says. " In whatever I've done, I've always looked at myself as a beginner. Hopefully I can continue to do that for the next 30 years as I grow into an older man."

Since splitting with Jessica Biel in March after four on-and-off years together, Timberlake has been linked to Olivia Wilde, Ashley Olsen and Mila Kunis, to name a few boldfaced stars. He knows why he tends to romance fellow celebs, he tells Playboy.

"You probably gravitate toward people who understand your scenario. At the end of the day you just want someone who gets you, who can be a friend. That's kind of the point of Friends with Benefits," he says of his upcoming comedy with Kunis. "As corny as it sounds, the 'friends' part counts just as much as the ‘benefits’ part, if not more."

How were those sex scenes with Kunis, anyway?

"I'd be lying if I said it wasn't completely awkward. I couldn't tell you the number of people in the crew watching me and my bare a*s, but it was a lot."

I could care less if he lights up once in awhile, he's talented as all get out. A triple threat!! I would love a new CD, but that may be wishful thinking. Or just a concert, he's one of the best I've had the pleasure of seeing and I've got to see a lot of acts. I wasn't high, he was great.

Cannabis is the most useful plant on the face of the planet, and needs to be legalized and utilized immediately. Cannabis remineralizes the soil, can grow just about anywhere, and takes in more Carbon Dioxide while releasing more Oxygen than any other plant. The seeds of the plant are the most nutritionally complete food source in the world and can be used to make incredibly healthy food such as: bread, cereal, cheese, milk, oatmeal, et cetera. Cannabis also has amazing medicinal benefits, helping people with chronic pain, nausea, eating disorders, Asthma, Glaucoma, and does wonders for people going through Chemotherapy. There is also evidence suggesting that chemicals in Cannabis cause brain cancer cells to eat themselves in a process known as autophagy. It is time to end the Prohibition of Cannabis.

Just to be clear here.... I can spell...I just have a crappy old keyboard, LOL. The keys like to stick. Yeah, I'm cheap.

I find it ironic that most of the "anti-pot" comments real like they were written from some very uneducated people *sigh*. If you are going to talk about a substance that "kills brain cells", try to at least sound like you have some braincells of your own :) If you can't spell or sound intelligent then keep it to yourself...you're making the pot heads look smart ;)

He admitted to smoking pot years ago. Why is this coming back up?

Do you hear yourselves. Quit comparing yourselves to alcoholics and try comparing yourselves to us out there that care about the guy next to them in a car with poor judgement because he drank or smoked pot. I care about the space cadet that can't think clearly and puts mine and my sons life in danger. Also the other wonderful children out there. What if we legalize pot what age will be the smoking pot age, 3. Seriously people I see and have lived with pot heads. I am not judging just giving an accurate description of their inability to function. Stoned is called stoned for a reason or can you not comprehend that. I have done the research I know the proof but I don't drink or smoke pot so get a better defense.

pot kills your emotions. there is a big difference between alcohol and pot. you have one glass of wine with a meal, you hardly get a buzz. take a few hits from a joint, you're stoned. How do you get ' a little high' . I hate pot. I hate dealing with the people in my life who smoke it. I never know which person I'm getting - the straight person who can't handle his or her emotions? or the high one, who doesn't have any. Either way, if you're sober and trying to deal with people like this, you are fighting a losing battle. Relationships are hard, life is hard, DEAL with it. Don't escape into a 'harmless ' weed that people use to kill pain when they are dying - and then call it medicine.

He spoke about this and was very open about it on the STONE & Digital Dave show. He even said him and Snoop Dog would hang out.

The bottom line is: it's illegal. He's not smoking for medical reasons, just because he can. And what about all the studies that show how pot kills brain cells... Seems like those with all their brain cells know the difference.
