Pasha Pashkov will forever and always be his wife Daniella Karagach’s biggest cheerleader on Dancing With the Stars — even if he’s a little distracted.
“It’s always easier to watch Dani after I perform my dance, because then I don’t need to focus anymore and then I can just enjoy,” Pashkov, 40, exclusively told Us on Tuesday, September 22, after the ABC competition’s Viral Hits Night. “Today, [Dani and partner Ezra Frech] were going a couple of dances before us, so it’s always hard. You want to be there. You want to support.”
Instead of focusing fully on his wife’s performance, Pashkov said he had to prioritize his own number with Olympian Amber Glenn.
“It’s, like, emotional, but then you also need to stay focused on your own dance,” Pashkov explained to Us. “So I usually enjoy it more when I get to go first, so then I can relax and then just enjoy. Last week was perfect because it was two separate nights. We could just, like, literally watch and support each other wholeheartedly.”
On Tuesday’s episode of DWTS, Pashkov and Glenn, 26, impressed judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli as they danced a tango to “All the Things She Said” by t.A.T.u. They received 21 out of 30 points.
“We were so focused,” Glenn told Us after her performance. “But it means a lot being able to show different sides of me. A lot of people know me as the figure skater. … I really enjoy the storytelling that Dancing With the Stars really puts amazing effort into. I mean, look at the costumes, the hair, the makeup, everything. It’s such an incredible experience, and I’m so glad that I’m continuing to tell different stories every week.”
Meanwhile, Karagach, 33, and Frech, 21, received the same score for their cha-cha to “Low” by Flo Rida.
Away from the ballroom, Pashkov and Karagach — who have been married since 2014 and share 3-year-old daughter Nikita — have been able to build a “tightly knit” family with their partners.
In recent TikTok videos, Frech and Glenn have been hanging out with the married couple after rehearsals.
“What a squad right there,” Frech wrote via Instagram on Saturday, September 19.
