Inked with love! Kanye West is already tattooed up and down his arms, but likely none of his ink is more meaningful than the tattoos West received on Friday, Feb. 27. During a 4 a.m. trip to a London tattoo parlor with wife Kim Kardashian, the "Only One" rapper commemorated the birth dates of both his late mother, Donda, and daughter North, by tattooing them on his wrists.
Tattooed at the Sang Bleu tattoo parlor, West, 37, let his wife document the process in a series of late-night Instagram posts. "I talked him out of getting a face tattoo . . . for now," Kardashian wrote, before showing off West's final ink job.
Written in Roman numerals, West's latest tattoos mark the June 15, 2013 birth date of North, and the July 12, 1949 birth date of Donda, who died in 2007 after complications from plastic surgery.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe Thursday, West said that he and Kardashian, 34, can't wait to give their little girl a sibling, and are actively trying to get pregnant. "I'm practicing really hard. I try as many times a day I can," West said, giving a shout-out to his 20-month-old daughter. "Nori, this one is for you. You need a sibling."
It's clear Nori has developed a special bond with West, who stuck up for the tot after she threw a temper tantrum at the rapper's Feb. 13 Adidas fashion show in New York City.
"Maybe she was just scared for her daddy," West said at the time. "She just wanted people to stop being mean to her daddy. Because she knows that her daddy loves the world and just wants to make it a more beautiful place."
