"When me and Lamar were having issues, I decided to channel my energy into working out…if I went out with my girlfriends I would be hounded by paparazzi and made to feel more humiliated,” she explained to the mag in a recent interview. “The gym was my only refuge. I could put music on and dance around with my girlfriends and be silly."
"I have never felt 'fat' I just didn't realize how unhealthy I was until I look back at pictures,” the 30-year-old E! reality star explained of her desire to get in shape. “In the moment I felt so beautiful and I remember walking down red carpets with my makeup done in a little sparkly dress and I thought I was so cute. I had all this confidence."
And now that she’s dropped almost 20 pounds and gotten into the best shape of her life, French Montana’s on-again, off-again girlfriend says the only opinion that matters, is hers.
"Now on my Instagram page people comment saying 'I liked you better when you were bigger' and I think, ‘Thank God I don't live my life for other people' because I'd be in a constant tug of war," Kardashian said.
Kim Kardashian’s younger sister will continue to work on herself the natural way too. "I'm not against plastic surgery — if you want to do a tweak, I'm all for it, but you have to love yourself first because no surgery is going to change your heart,” she added. “It would have been such an easy solution to get liposuction or whatever, but you have to be healthy to maintain that. I've always felt like 'Wouldn't it be great to accomplish that on your own?'"
The devoted Gunnar Peterson client and waist trainer-believer has been vocal with her fans on Instagram about her weight loss, revealing her flat abs in a mirror selfie this past February. "My fitness journey will be a life long journey. Fitness is not about being better than someone else,” she captioned her fit photo. “It's about being better than you used to be. I’m not where I want to be and who knows if I ever will be. But I am healthier than ever and due to my consistent workouts, I am slowly seeing results."
