"I just ended my relationship with Andy," Stanger Twittered Saturday. "It hit me really hard that I want kids in my life. You have to agree on the non-negotiables."
Friedman -- a 51-year-old real estate executive Stanger met through a matchmaker six years ago -- popped the question in Maui, Hawaii, on her May 31 birthday last year. A black swan named Raymond delivered a 4-carat ring.

"I feel like it should have happened years ago, so I'm kind of shocked," Stanger told UsMagazine.com at the time of her engagement.
The newly-single Stanger is expanding her matchmaking business to New York City for the show's fourth season, currently in production. A premiere date has not yet been announced.

Tell Us What You Think
87I think Patti Stanger From Millionaire Matchmaker should do a show about how she lets her staff find her next Date.
Patty saying you hate redheads is no different than me saying I hate Jews. I think you are secretly jealous and intimidated by red heads, you haven't ever given a non prejudice clear legitimate reason as to why "you hate redheads" You don't really come across as a classy or professional person when you make statements like that, and you wonder why people don't take you serious lol, in my opinion it's all to clear why!!!
Shame on YOU Marissa! Typical Jew-Hater. It has nothing to do with religion. Go learn some manners!
Patti is the biggest fake. She's so plastic. How can anyone take her serious? Anyone can be a matchmaker. It takes no skill. People need to get lives and not take her advice. Give me a break. She looks like a man. Typical Jew. They do wrong but condem people for doing the same things they've done. Fraud
Patti needed to talk about having childern With Andy long before she got engaged. And I know they where living together. So he had the cow and the milk. Which was dumb on her part. And at 50 years old, her body is changing, and the mentrual cycle is starting to stop, and by the time she has a child, or if she does, and that child gets to be 20 she will be in her 70's,.
Much luck Patti...I think it's rather presumptuous to assume that she never had the discussion w/ her former fiance about the kid issue...perhaps she foolishly waited around hoping he'd change his mind...even still. She wants kids, whether we think it's foolish or not...it's what she wants. And if he doesn't, the relationship can't work...I hope she finds someone who wants what she wants.
Sorry to hear that I think shes great! Bad things happen for good reasons sometimes!
Sorry to hear that Patti, bad things happen for good reasons. God wants you to find someone better! If you find an extra someone let me know! I think your great!
Tell other people how to get married, still single herself, epic fail.
This is what happens when people become famous. They get offers of love and they are easily sway by it. Nadette is @ Koowie
I had a moment the other day when it occurred to me, this part of my weight gain could be attributed to love or love someone who does not "like me. The person, by default, only selected in the negative in me, and on his best day, it is difficult not to possess certain that, even if only subconsciously. This is where ideas on unhealthy foods, for me, seemed to originate. Patti Stanger
She gave up a supposedly great guy over non negotiable item number 6 not being willing to go on camera with her Shallow and vacuous. Even if she gave him up over kids...one would think that particular issue would have been brought up years ago not 6 years into the relationship. Having a great man in your life at her age and for the duration is a helluva lot better than having kids who leave you when they are 18 have their own lives and you end up ALONE.
I am 51. I used to want to be married but by the time I was 35 I realized it probably would not happen. I am fine. I have my family, friends, my job, my hobbies. I answer to myself. Why would she even want it now? My sisters kids are great. I can contribute to their lives not only emtionally but financially. Things work out. I think if I were to get married now, if some freak asked me, it would be really annoying.
Wow - what nasty nasty comments are on here. I guess the internet is where people like to be anonymously rude. I don't love Patti, I think she's harsh and judgemental, but she's an entertainer. And I find her show to be very entertaining! But to say "she's fat" "she's a tranny", she's an old-bat, are just mean and hateful. She's a human being that wants love, just like the rest of us. Maybe she's take this opportunity to examine her own actions in the failure of this relationship. And hey, if she adopts a 7 yr old, she'll be just fine to be a parent. None of our business. I for one, wish her well for the heartache she must be privately suffering.
Andrew is now the luckiest man in the world, to be free of that con artist pimp classless user.
Didn't a psychic predict that on her show.
To: For The Love of Chickens - She is not 32 years old! The writer is saying, he proposed to her on her BIRTHDAY which is on May 31st. Some people need to learn to read correctly. Patti Stanger is near 50. I think she is about 49 now.
Patti Stanger - She can't be matched.
What a ditz. She's 49 and just now realizing she wants kids? Maybe she could have mentioned that to her fiancee during the last 6 years of their engagement. Reminds me of the Bangles song "If she knew what she wants..."
I've been watching the Millionaire Matchmaker for years, I'm surprised her engagement was called off, I mean, having two big responsibilities (running the show, and working on her wedding plans) must have been a little too much for her. But then again, no man or woman needs to be a millionaire to be successful in finding someone special, being a millionaire just gives them a bigger advantage if they are a great person to be around.
