Oops! Ryan Lochte’s fiancée, Kayla Rae Reid, revealed in a new interview that she got a botched boob job prior to meeting the Olympic swimmer.
Chatting with the New York Post for a profile, published on Sunday, November 13, the Playboy Playmate, 25, opened up about her steamy Miss July 2015 centerfold. Though she is proud to have posed for the men’s magazine, she regrets the size of her double-D breasts in the photos.
“The one thing I wasn’t proud of was that I had a bad boob job. They were just way too big for my body. They were completely Playboy, rock-hard [breasts],” the blonde beauty told the New York Post. “I wanted small, kind of saggy, pretty [breasts].”
Reid told the publication that her doctor agreed that her cosmetically enhanced bust was disproportionate for her frame and gave her new, smaller implants at no cost this past winter. Not long after, the Alabama native met Lochte, 32, on Tinder and the two immediately hit it off.
After some flirty online exchanges, Reid and the gold medalist finally met face-to-face at a January 2016 party at Hollywood’s Bootsy Bellows nightclub.
“We physically ran into each other. We grabbed each other’s hands and were looking into each other’s eyes. We clicked,” she recounted. “I had always heard he was a player and a partier. I always said I would never date an athlete. When I met him, he was the complete opposite of everything I thought he was.”
Reid kept her relationship with Lochte under wraps while he was competing at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro this past summer. Their secret romance was tested when Lochte admitted to “overexaggerating” about being held at gunpoint at a local gas station.
“I was just concerned … I wanted to be by his side,” she explained of the huge controversy, which threatened to derail his career. “We’ve all peed in bushes. We all can say, ‘I made a mistake while intoxicated,’” Reid told the New York Post. “I’ve tried to remind him, ‘You don’t get to live like a normal person. Every mistake you make . . . you live under a microscope.’ But it’s done now and it’s something he has to overcome.”
With the drama behind them, Reid is looking forward to their future as a couple and can’t wait to become Mr. and Mrs.
“I never pictured myself married to anyone,” she said. “I just never imagined that,” she shared. “He’s so romantic. He leaves me love letters all around the house. He is a softie. He’s sensitive and thoughtful.”
The model, who announced her engagement to Lochte via Instagram on October 9, is already thinking about starting a family with her groom-to-be.
“He wants kids so badly. That is what made us connect,” she gushed. “He said his one goal in life was to be a great dad.”
