Baby's day out! Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Thomas Baldwin's newborn daughter is less than half a week old, but she's already taking a little bite out of the Big Apple. On Sunday, Aug. 25 — two days after the yoga instructor and the actor welcomed their first child together — the couple hit the streets in New York City, bundle of joy in tow.

Looking effortlessly pulled together in a black maxi dress and sunglasses, the first-time mom, 29, cooed sweetly at her little girl, who stayed hidden in a stroller covered by a pink blanket. Proud papa Baldwin, 55, walked beside the pair, ready for the day in shorts, sneakers, and a sporty zipped-up jacket.

As previously reported, the 30 Rock alum's wife gave birth on Friday, Aug. 23. "We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our daughter Carmen Gabriela. She is absolutely perfect," the new mom announced via Twitter. Later, she added: "Since giving birth, the word 'love' has taken on a whole new meaning. Its depth and intensity are overwhelming in the most welcome way."

Married since June 2012, the couple announced they were expecting earlier this year. Carmen is Baldwin's first child with Thomas Baldwin but his second overall; he's also dad to daughter Ireland with ex-wife Kim Basinger. And Ireland couldn't be happier to have a half-sister.

"You have entered the world! Welcome! We have all been anticipating your arrival! By we, I mean a lot of people," the 17-year-old wrote in an open letter to her newborn sibling. "Girl, you haven't even met them, but there are a ton of people who care about you."

The letter, posted to the model's Tumblr page, goes on to dispense advice based on the "countless lessons" Ireland has learned over the years. (Among the tips: "Remember that your parents will always love you," "You are beautiful," and "Enjoy your childhood and your teenage years.")

"Hopefully by the time you read and understand this, we'll be best friends, sitting in some rad coffee shop in Brooklyn, talking about bands and how hot Channing Tatum used to be hot," she joked. "Maybe cars will be hovering and s–t."

"I love you, Carmen," Ireland concluded. "You have been born into one crazy family. You are both lucky and cursed at the same time. We are going to have so much fun together…I promise you I will always be there for you no matter what!"
