One big happy family! Ashlee Simpson and ex-husband Pete Wentz reunited to celebrate son Bronx's 5th birthday in L.A.'s Studio City neighborhood on Saturday, Nov. 16. The former spouses, who divorced in 2011 after three years of marriage, each brought their new significant others to the family and friend party held at The Coop, a party space for kids.
A source tells Us Weekly that Wentz, 34, was first to arrive with the birthday boy, girlfriend of two years Meagan Camper and his parents in tow. The Fall Out Boy rocker was photographed holding hands with model Camper, who was dressed in a stylish all-black ensemble.
Shortly after, Simpson, 29, arrived with boyfriend Evan Ross and mom Tina Simpson. Ross' mother, the legendary singer Diana Ross, also attended the birthday bash. Like Camper, Simpson wore an all-black outfit and held hands with boyfriend Ross, 25, whom she began dating in July of this year.
An eyewitness tells Us: "It didn't seem awkward at all between Evan Ross and Pete Wentz. They took a family photo and were all in it -- Pete, Meagan, Ashlee and Evan."
The friendly exes threw their son a Disney-themed party with balloons featuring Disney characters from Cars, Monsters Inc. and The Incredibles. A source tells Us that there were approximately 75 adults and 45 kids in attendance at the party. Simpson's sister Jessica, who is mom to daughter Maxwell, 18 months, and son Ace, 4 months, with fiance Eric Johnson, was photographed talking with other guests outside the venue.
Maxwell looked adorable in a little fur vest, jeans and sneakers. Jessica, 33, dressed her slim post-baby body in a black-and-white striped blouse and black skinny pants, and wore tall black pumps. An insider told Us that at one point, Jessica shared a big family hug with Johnson and daughter Maxwell.
Other guests included Ashlee and Jessica's dad Joe Simpson, and Joel Madden and Nicole Richie's daughter Harlow, 5, and son Sparrow, 4. At the end of the party, guests sang "Happy Birthday" to Bronx, and were given party favors of red capes for boys and red tutus for girls.
