Haters, be gone! Katie Fehlinger, the CBS 3 Philly meteorologist who was body-shamed while pregnant, has welcomed twins girls. Fehlinger announced the happy news on her Facebook page on Tuesday, Sept. 22, along with a bit of backstory as to why she was so protective while pregnant.

“I’m overjoyed to announce the birth of our little bundles! Parker Janice & Kaeden Faye arrived fashionably early August 26th & have since stolen our hearts. Thank you for the well wishes, & for asking for updates,” she shared along with an adorable series of photos of her new little brood.

Fehlinger, who was told she looked like “sausage in casing” by haters after posting baby bump photos, explained her daughters arrived early after her doctor found that “blood was flowing out of Kaeden's umbilical cord and her placenta was losing function.”

“The girls had to be delivered soon,” she explained. “Our tiny preemies came the very next afternoon – 1 minute apart! – weighing in at just 4 lbs, 15 oz (Parker) & 3 lbs, 12 oz (Kaeden).”

“It had been a 9 month roller coaster,” the Philadelphia local revealed. “There was always more to the story,” she concluded. “The bigger my protruding belly got, the better their chance to be born healthy…and we had a very real concern they might not. I guess you can chalk it up to these ever-growing protective Mama bear instincts.”
