Celine Dion welcomed fraternal twin boys Saturday in West Palm Beach, Fla., her rep tells UsMagazine.com.
In a statement, Dr. Ronald Ackerman, Dion's obstetrician and gynecologist, told Us: “As coach and confidant for over 12 years for Celine and Rene, it is an honor and privilege to make this announcement on behalf of the Celine and Rene. At St. Mary’s Medical Center, at 11:11 and 11:12am, Celine gave birth to 2 healthy baby boys weighing 5lbs 10 ounces and 5 pounds 4 ounces. The cesarian section was performed by the team and Dr. Ruel Stoessel, Celine’s obstetrician, and high risk doctor and obstetricians Dr. Steven Pliskow and Dr. Joshua Ackerman, my son. I would like to thank Dr. Stoessel, Celine’s high risk obstetrician who availed his high level of expertise to enable us to reach this joyous day. I would also like to thank Dr. Zev Rosenwaks for his tireless fertility treatments which afforded Celine and Rene with this opportunity, and to Dr. Pete Garcia, our pediatric physician who played an enormous role in her care. It should be known worldwide that this team agrees that Celine and Rene are clearly one of the most caring and kind individuals that they have ever cared for. Today is not the end, but the beginning of 2 new lives.”
Still no word on the babies' names.

Dion announced in May that she was pregnant after undergoing her sixth in-vitro fertilization attempt.
"We believed in trying one more time," she told French magazine Paris Match this summer. "If [the doctor] had told me that my body was too tired, I would have given up."

She has a son, Rene-Charles, 9, with her husband/manager, Rene Angelil.

"We'll do the same thing we did with René-Charles, who stayed with us in our bedroom for the first year," Dion told Paris Match of her twins. "We'll keep them near us, too, because we have a big bed."

Congrats! It's just really sad that some people don't realize that when you are pregnant with 2 or more babies that it will end up being a C-section and that doesn't mean they are getting a damn tummy tuck!
Dears: Celine and Rene Congratulations for your Twins I advice you to put your sons names: Robert and Edwards Do you know why? You should not forget who invented IVF After years of hardship. Prof.Robert Edwards was in his Lab before you're born And worked hard and was neglected from getting the Nobel Prize. He got it recently and was too late And he could not understand why Can he enjoy that money? Oh what an unfair world we live in "Some get their wealth by singing Some get their wealth after years of agonizing scientific work in labs and when it is too late." Sylva Portoian,MD
Stepahnie: What the hell does a tummy tuck have to do with this article???? You sound immature and don't seem to have a clue about c-sections at all. You can't have a tummy tuck right after giving birth. It is not medically safe. Educate yourself before you say these things!
I think US literally just copied and pasted this article from Yahoo! Obviously she wont read this but Congrats to her, I just hope she doesn't let these boys' hair grow out like she did with Renee Charles. Poor kid looked like a girl!
wow that is so good for them....i wish them the best with there new bundle of joys..i'm so glad everything went well with the pregnancy and delivery...speedy recovery now...
Wow-great news not only for them, but for all those who have been trying for years but wanted to give up due to age alone.
yes she had a C section which is quite common with multiples and there's been no news of the babies not being healthy
WOW.stephanie your a nut! I had both my kids around the same weeks she had her sons. things happen.how do you know she didnt go into labor or her bp didnt go up? You dont.
Thought she wasent going in for a scheduled birth. Can we say C-section & Tummy Tuck. Oh well, hope her babies are healthy. Congrats!
