Chace Crawford loves his nephew Hawkins, but he'll have to wait a bit longer for some one-on-one time.

"Candice doesn't want me babysitting the baby just yet," the actor told Us Weekly at the NYC premiere of What to Expect When You're Expecting Tuesday. "He just sleeps all the time!"

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, 32, and his wife Candice Crawford, 25, welcomed son Hawkins on April 9, but Chace isn't eager to start his own family just yet. "I might need to start off with a plant or a dog first, and then maybe a mortgage," the single actor laughed. "We'll see what happens after that."

Being a first-time uncle is "awesome" and "really cool," said Chace, who told Us: "I definitely envision [fatherhood] for myself one day when I grow up — when I'm an adult!"
