Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham was slammed on Instagram on Tuesday, November 1, after she posted a photo promoting a weight-loss and detox tea featuring her 7-year-old daughter, Sophia.

“Teatime @flattummytea @sophialabraham & I – after all that candy 👻,” the MTV reality star, 25, captioned the shot. In the pic, Sophia appears to be drinking the tea out of a to-go coffee tumbler.

Abraham’s followers were quick to bash the single mother for possibly giving her daughter the tea, which, according to the packaging and website, contains laxatives and promises to “help reduce bloating, support your metabolism and increase energy to help flatten your tummy!” (The Flat Tummy Tea website acknowledges that “these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.”)

“I’m sure your delusional parenting ways are further damaging that child by teaching her to take laxatives to be thin,” one commenter wrote to the star. “You really are an assclown @farrah__abraham and absolutely the worst patent on the earth, hands down! Your poor kid … and just when you thought 30 years of intense therapy would help her you pull this. Your so disgusting and absolute garbage.”

Another Instagram follower commented, “Girl you really need some serious help,” while another weighed in with: “What you’re doing to your child is unsafe. Practice what you preach. The only logical thing I can think of for your behavior is that you sold your soul which further explains why you’re so heartless. She is a CHILD. Let her be a CHILD.”

But fans and followers of the MTV star can relax, because the little girl didn’t actually drink, nor was she promoting the weight-loss tea.

“She has strawberry milk and I have my tea,” Abraham tells Us Weekly. “She wanted to take a pic like that, so no, my daughter does not have tea in her cup.”

Farrah has recently put Sophia in the spotlight. The little girl recently started modeling and even has her own children’s boutique named after her, Sophia Laurent.

A bevy of other celebrities have endorsed the tea, including Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian

Teen Mom OG airs on MTV Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.
