Oops! During a March interview with Jay Leno, Kim Kardashian laughed at the baby name North, insisting to the talk show host that she and beau Kanye West weren’t considering the unique moniker for their new addition.
When Leno asked her if they were thinking about the name North, the E! reality star laughed, explaining, “There are so many rumors. That is not true … that is not one of the names on the list.”
Kardashian, however, did say she liked another name: Easton! “It kind of goes with North,” she said. “I think that’s cute.”
Of course, the 32-year-old and West, 36, had a change of heart — ultimately naming their new baby North West, as Us Weekly reported on Thursday, June 20. A source confirmed to Us exclusively that the newborn will be nicknamed “Nori” for short.
On Friday, June 21, Kardashian and baby Nori, who arrived five weeks early on Friday, June 15, headed home after a week-long stay at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
“Everybody is doing great,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “The baby is so sweet. Kanye is in love.”
