Jamie Lynn Spears has split from Casey Aldridge, with whom she has a 19-month-old daughter, UsMagazine.com has learned.
The younger sister of Britney Spears, star of Nickelodeon's hit Zoey 101, made headlines in 2007 when she announced that she was pregnant at the age of 16.

A year later, rumors spread that she and Aldridge, now 20, were engaged after she began wearing a diamond ring. Around the same time, she wore a shirt that read, "The Rumors Are True."

Months after her 17th birthday, she gave birth to daughter Maddie Briann in June 2008 at a hospital in Mississippi, near her Kentwood, La., hometown, where she owns a home.

In a 2008 interview, Lynne Spears said she was proud of her daughter but was sad at all the scrutiny she endured.
"Nobody wants their children to have these kinds of hardships or bumps," Lynne said. "Who would want that?"

First of all, I can't believe all of the stuff people actually write on here-I mean come on, clean up your language & read what you write so you don't sound so retarded-ly senseless. I'm 22 years old and have a couple friends that have had unexpected pregnancies..we all know it happens it's a fact. But how they handle it obviously is the main factor. I believe everything happens for a reason in this world and I believe in God and I really think that if more households were brought up like they were used to or with more of a morals/values type lifestyle perhaps things wouldn't be as chaotic as they are today. Whomever you have a kid with no matter what age you are, you should love the one you're with.

All I have to say is everyone should mind their own business. But this is unfortunately never going to happen in our lifetime. If girls want a have a baby at a young age, so be them. Leave them alone! I'm not a teen mother at the age of 18, but again it wasn't something that I wanted in that aspect. Some people just want to be "young" mothers, and they see that as their dreams. MAYBE it's not "yours" but it's theirs. We have freedom in this country, and everyone is valued to their own opinions, and dreams. Honestly.. not all teen mothers are bad mothers. I know some really good ones. Jamie Lynn still has Casey supporting the baby, and so that's all that matters. If they want reside on their own than it's their choice. We don't live their life. I'm not saying it's right to go an have a baby at such a young age, but I am saying you shouldn't hate on the choices you don't understand even if they are wrong in your opinion. that's just it.. it's your opinion.
Having a baby as a teen is unwise. No college, no good job. How are you going to support it? Rely on your husband?Teen pregnancies are out-of-control. People should wait til their 20s at least.

I dont see what the big deal is. Yes she was young when she had the child, but like she said it was unintentional and they made the best of the situation, like anyone of us would have done at that age. Every teenager is going to have sex regardless if they think its love, or just for fun. Its a fact. And i sure doubt that they will wait until they are 40 to get married. Everybody is different, people may think its the right choice at 19 to get married where as others wait until later in life. It doesn't matter what your standards are, because you're not the one living their lives. People break up all the time, even if they were married, or not with kids. Marriage isn't going to secure your relationship with the person. People change and things are lost. People then move on.. Hopefully Ms. Spears learns that. Everything happens for a reason, for celebs, or for us. Nobody is any different. People break up all the time, regular folk like us. People don't make a big deal of that, nor should we. Just as long as they are both there for the baby, then what difference does it make if they are together or not. You should be thinking for the sake of Maddie, not for the parents who have obviously grown apart.
17 year olds shouldn't be having sex. Also, confusing sex with love is not necessarily the cause of the divorce rates! How would you know Diane? Divorces happen because of incompatibility issues or lack of getting to know one another on other levels (hint hint -- emotional) besides sex. Anyone who hooks up just for sex is simply using that person. SEX = NOT LOVE!
