Olivia Culpo is shutting down comments about her weight gain while pregnant with baby No. 2.
“I feel like everybody’s always so surprised, like, ‘Oh, my God, she really blows up,’” Culpo, 34, said in a TikTok video on Wednesday, September 23, after noting that she is currently 37 weeks pregnant.
“I take a lot of pride in the fact that I am growing a baby,” she continued. “Every time I see that I’m growing, I always think that my baby’s growing, and that means that my baby’s healthy.”
Culpo added that she’s not “worried” about pregnancy weight gain because it’s possible to “bounce back.”
“These days, everybody’s getting skinny,” she noted before addressing other expectant mothers. “I’m not worried about you. You’re doing the most selfless thing that you could ever do for the best reason ever.”
Giving a shout-out to husband Christian McCaffrey, a running back for the San Francisco 49ers, Culpo added, “Christian is so in shape, and he’s just so annoyingly perfect in every single way, and his body is great all the time. Even he says, ‘You have to give yourself a year.’”
The former Miss USA also pointed out that people often “compare” their weight gains and losses to others.
“A lot of people, including myself, you’ll compare, like, ‘Oh, this person got so skinny so fast after, or X, Y and Z. It’s like, you don’t know if that person was breast-feeding,” she continued. “You don’t know what that person’s supply was like. You don’t know what that person’s labor was like. The only thing you can control is what you’re doing as a mother for your child. Everything else is just noise.”
Culpo, who previously welcomed daughter Collette in July 2025, added that she loves to share “the most vulnerable parts” of her journey.
“This is all part of the beautiful sacrifice of motherhood,” she said.
Culpo concluded the video by sharing an update on her birth plan before her second baby’s arrival. (The Model Squad alum announced her pregnancy in May.)
“I fully started my day with a cry. Christian is leaving the day I give birth, so I’m going into a C-section, and then he has to leave that same day,” she explained on Wednesday. “It’s the football season, and he is playing in San Francisco. I’m giving birth in L.A.”
Culpo continued, “With my last pregnancy, he was there the whole time because I gave birth in July, which was perfect. But it’s the middle of the football season, so he can’t [be there]. And honestly, I should be grateful because some guys legitimately miss the birth of their child. At least I get to plan that it’s a C-section, and I’ve done it before, and I have so much to be grateful for.”
The model noted that she’s “trying to hold onto everything I have to be grateful for.”
“All this to say, pregnancy, postpartum, all of it — it is so hard. Even when people make it look easy, it’s hard,” she concluded. “Just trying to keep all of these things real with you because there’s nothing worse than feeling like you’re isolated in a place of confusion. Grateful I get to share all this with you.”
