Jessica Alba: "I Plan" on Adopting

Jessica Alba's 21-month-old daughter, Honor Marie, may have a little sibling sometime soon.

While taping a guest appearance on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (to air this Sunday), the actress, 28, said she was "totally inspired" by a family who adopted 13 children but where living in a trailer.

"I'm totally inspired. If you have the love, and the capacity to love children, you should just adopt. And I plan on doing it," she says.
“My mom grew up around a huge family, and they always wanted more kids, and I was like, 'Why don't you just adopt?'" adds Alba.

Some of you are just down right rude! I look at adoption as a beautiful thing. I was adopted. I think more people should adopt. We keep bringing children into the world all the while there are children who NEED a family. They have feelings too. If Jessica wants to adopt, then props to her. Adoption is an amazing experience and I really hope to adopt one day!
i thought of adopting myself since me and my son s mom got back together so if we split up again i have someone around better than a hamster sucks dude my bipolar and depression fight with each other lol i dont know weather to be pist or feel hurt my son s mom is too much man heh but in her case i think it would be great little dudes or little ladies deserve to have a good life just because the parents wanted to screwd them over

People! This family lived in a trailer after Hurricane Ike demolished their home. So, a 5700sq ft home was built for them to be able to provide for the children properly. This is a wonderful family that has given many children a second chance. Jessica Alba came in and lended a helping hand(not as much as they showed on TV) and she donated the solar panels to the house. Super cool and awesome experience!
Oh .. and just as an FYI .. it doesn't cost much to adopt FOSTER Children ... in fact I didn't pay anything in court fees, I just paid in LOVE!!
As a mom who adopted 2 children from Foster Care I commend her for doing this, these children need love & families!! To Anti-Adoption .. sounds like you have issues with this .. but I can tell you that no one rips children away from parents who can truly take care of them and provide for them. Judges & Social Workers give bio-families every opportunity to re-unite before rights are severed .. do your homework before you rant, I would love to have contact with my children's bio family .. but it was THEIR choice to leave these children with no contact!! Foster children break my heart .. it just proves that any one can have a baby .. but it takes a special person to be a mother!!!
There are very few kids waiting to be adopted that are truly orphans. Adopters steal other woman's children and keep them for thier own selfish needs. If these wacko celebrities like Angelina and Madonna truley cared about the welfare of children they would use thier wealth and resources to help out the childrens biological family and communities. Instead these rich white women go to third world countries and use thier money and power to take babies away from thier real families. For the amount of money they spent going through the adoption process they could have helped out 100 children by giving money to thier desperately poor biological parents and let the child stay in thier native homeland and culture. Adoption is immoral and archaic, adoption is rich women taking children away from poor women. Adoption is not altrusic, it's incredibly selfish to take another woman's baby when they could have used thier money and helped the childs real family raise and educate them.
There are children who need loving out there be just left in care because the person who wants to adopt them are celebs. If there loved that's all what matters, remember they are just people, and its people who adopt! You people are also pathetic calling a little baby ugly, people like you shouldn't be allowed to adopt, because i would not want my child in your hands if thats how you act when somebody goes to take a child into there home. If she has money she should spend it by helping as well, just because you fat lazy bums want a little kid to be left in care when there is somebody willing to adopt it. SO ALL YOU PEOPLE SAYING HER DAUGHTER IS UGLY AND SHE SHOULDN'T ADOPT! YOUR PATHETIC AND I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD ADOPT IF YOU ARE SO RUDE TOWARDS A BABY!!! DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR LIKE WITH YOUR KIDS!
Dumbasses...dont be jealous...sorry some people can't afford to adopt but hell what do you want her to do? not adopt so you can have the satisfaction of it? her being rich will give the child a better life then it sittn in a foster home waiting to get a family...people have their own right to choose to adopt or not....hell jealousy is a nasty disease...Alba should adopt and all the haters out there can put a sock in it!!!!!
I bet she'd say the same thing if she had married somebody that had children from a previous relationship/marriage and then had her own as for example oscar winning actress Joanne Woodward does as her late husband also an oscar winner had 3 children from his first marriage and they almost had four of their own though she miscarried their first on their honeymoon so Jessica should keep her big fat mouth shut
I love the looks Jessica and Honor are giving the photogs. PRICELESS! Both are gorgeous. I just love Honor's hair. She always looks so precious.
