Landon Donovan's Wife "Was Not Blindsided" by Love Child Report

U.S. World Cup star Landon Donovan's wife wasn't shocked by reports he'd fathered a child out of wedlock.
A source close to Rules of Engagement star Bianca Kajlich, who is currently separated from Donovan, tells UsMagazine.com, "She's been aware of the claim is extremely supportive of Donovan."

A British woman -- who has not been identified -- told a UK newspaper that she is allegedly carrying the baby of the soccer star, who rose to fame when he scored the winning goal against Algeria last Wednesday.
Adds the source, "She was not blindsided by this and isn’t angry."
A rep for Kajlich, 33, declined to comment.

Donovan, 28, says he will provide support if the claim is true.
"I was informed of the possibility during the World Cup, and if I need to take responsibility, then I will provide the appropriate support," he told Sports Illustrated’s Web site.
Donovan and Kajlich, who wed in 2006, had been trying to repair their relationship. He even blew a kiss to her during a recent sideline interview.

Chatting with Yahoo! Sports, he also declared they "are not officially divorced" and shared an emotional phone call following his winning goal against Algeria.
"We spoke last night," said Donovan, who scored three goals during the World Cup series before the U.S. team was eliminated on Saturday. "It was nice."

@Chris - And for the record, Donovan is legally SEPARATED, which is a different ball game all togther. A separation agreement can include the ability to date AND have relationships with others if the two parties agree.

Some people get into a marriage for reasons other than love. It's clear to me that she is financially well taken care of, has all the nice things she could ever want. Wouldn't float my boat, but I've seen more than one marriage like this.
