Rebecca Gayheart, Eric Dane Reveal Daughter's Name

A source reveals to UsMagazine.com that Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane have named their baby girl Billie.
The couple's first daughter was born March 3 in Los Angeles, her rep confirmed to the Associated Press last week.

"Mother, father and daughter are doing great," the rep had said.
Gayheart, 38, and the Grey's Anatomy star, 37 -- who wed in Las Vegas in 2004 -- never formally announced the pregnancy, but Gayheart stepped out last September with a baby bump.

During an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Dane said that they had decided on a name for their daughter, but "Rebecca wants to wait until she sees her before we give her the name."

The actor promised it wouldn't be a quirky celeb baby name. "We went straight down the middle with this one."

I think it's a great name, although I am biased! For the record, I am not a stripper or a redneck or a hillbilly. I am a successful tax accountant holding multiple college degrees and certifications. And to assume that a person will choose a certain life path due to their name is ridiculous and ignorant! Also, I was no more picked on growing up than any other child. Many famous women are named Billie by the way...Billie Holiday (singer), Billie Piper (actress), Billie Jean King (athlete), Billie Burke (actress). Michael Jackson even wrote a song about a Billie!! While it is not a common name now, it used to be quite popular and I would love to see it make a come back!
Nothing is wrong with the baby's name! Many women are named Billie! Just like many men are named Kim, Kelly, Leslie I could go on and on!

I saw an interview with him in which he was being very evasive about the name,and I was like, WTH, man? BILLIE? Wow.At least its not one of the stupid names that the other celebrities have been naming their kids, but really, why the secretive evasiveness over BILLIE? Good Lord. Oh, well.
