Joy Williams, one-half of the band The Civil Wars, welcomed her first child -- a boy named Miles Alexander -- Saturday in Nashville.

"Now I really know what love at first sight means after meeting my son, Miles Alexander. Born yesterday, all happy and healthy," Williams, 29, confirmed via Twitter Sunday.

Later, she added: "Thanks for all the thoughts, prayers and well wishes about Miles' arrival. Deliriously happy."
