Though model and actress Angie Everhart has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, she wants fans to know it's not going to slow her down for long.
"She wants to set the record straight by letting everyone know that it is true that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, however the prognosis is very good. She will undergo surgery tomorrow (Tuesday, May 14) and expects to be back to work and to mommy duties in a few weeks," Ever hart's publicist tells omg!.
The 43-year-old is mom to son Kayden, who turns 3 in July.
The redhead first rose to fame as a model in the '90s, eventually posing on the covers of Glamour, Elle, Playboy, and other glossy magazines. She later starred in multiple films including "Last Action Hero," "Jade" and "Another 91é2 Weeks."
According to her publicist, Everhart wants to share the news of her diagnosis with the public "to encourage people to learn about cancer prevention, its signs and treatment immediately. She would also like to thank those who have provided such tremendous support."
