The country crooner, 40, confirmed to Jimmy Kimmel that he has a helicopter at his Oklahoma home, so the late-night host, 49, asked, “Do you take Gwen on Bachelor-style helicopter dates around the area?” Shelton replied, “We do. We use that thing a lot. It gets a lot more use than you would think.”

The Voice coach clarified that he doesn’t pilot the aircraft, though. “I don’t fly it. I don’t know how to fly it. So we use somebody else because in order to fly in it you need to be drinking. In order to be able to settle in and really enjoy, you gotta have some drinks and you shouldn’t be flying,” he joked. “Everybody knows you shouldn’t be drinking and flying.”

Helicopter rides aren’t their only Bachelor-style dates, though. Like ABC’s Bachelorettes, Stefani, 47, took Shelton for a tour of her hometown, Anaheim, California. “She took me to Disneyland. Then she drove me down the street to the house she grew up in and then the house that they used where they basically created No Doubt and wrote a lot of the songs and rehearsed everyday on Beacon Street down there,” he said of the place where No Doubt recorded their second album, The Beacon Street Collection. “I got to see all that stuff.”

The “Came Here to Forget” singer gushed that it was “so interesting” to stroll down memory lane with his girlfriend. “Here’s why: The houses … they’ve been sold and bought or whatever, so if you look out your window and Gwen Stefani is standing in your lawn taking selfies — and this happened, I was down there just a couple months ago,” he said. “She was like, ‘Oh my god, there’s my house.’ She jumps out of the car and is standing in these random people’s lawn. They may not even know they live in the house she grew up in, you know, and she’s taking selfies in front of it. It was cool.”

The couple started dating in late 2015 after meeting on set of The Voice. Shelton had recently split from Miranda Lambert and Stefani had called it quits with Gavin Rossdale just a few months earlier. This year, they spent Thanksgiving in Oklahoma with their families, including Shelton’s mom, Dorothy, and Stefani’s parents and her three sons with Rossdale, Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2.
