Brian Austin Green may be slowing down with a new baby on the way, but he’s definitely speeding up on the race track. Us Weekly caught up with the Anger Management actor at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Pro/Celebrity Race in Southern California on Friday, April 15, where he is competing in the iconic street race.
“Family is great,” Green tells Us exclusively of his growing brood with two sons, Noah, 3, and Bodhi, 2, with estranged wife Megan Fox, and one on the way. The former couple is expecting their third child together, Us previously confirmed. The actress debuted her baby bump in a body-hugging dress Monday, April 11, at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
Now, when the 42-year-old actor is on the speedway, he can’t be as reckless with a family to think about. “I love it,” he said of racing. “I mean, it’s different with my family now.”
As toddlers, the boys are too young to even understand that their dad is a part-time race-car driver. “They don’t even know I’m here,” he jokes, but he hopes one day they will appreciate it. “Maybe,” he tells Us when asked if they will think he’s a cool dad. “Or maybe they’ll just think I’m the old guy, and they won’t care.”
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum won the Long Beach race in 2010, but he’s not getting as competitive this time around. He jokingly says “as long as I’m alive,” the day would be successful.
Although sources tell Us Green and 29-year-old Fox aren’t planning on getting back together, they are renting a house in L.A.’s Bel Air neighborhood and working on their relationship. “They are living together … They do their day-to-day stuff, like grocery shopping and taking their kids out together,” a source tells Us.
