Gotta loosen up before the big day! Brie Larson had a fun pre-Oscar party with pals on Friday, February 26, in Los Angeles, and wore an unusual accessory to the intimate gathering: a paper crown.

According to a source, Larson, 26, wore the Burger King paper crown throughout the evening as the Room actress and her pals enjoyed each others’ company just ahead of the Oscars on Sunday, February 28.

“Words can not express how happy I am for this amazing girl!” Larson’s makeup artist Rachel Goodwin captioned a cute photo of the Oscar nominee to Instagram. “@brielarson you are the hostess with the mostest! Thank you for just being you! My heart and belly are so full of love right now.”

The actress is nominated for best Actress in a Leading Role against a whole host of big names, including Cate Blanchett (Carol), Jennifer Lawrence (Joy), Charlotte Rampling (45 Years) and Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn) for her starring role as Ma in Room.

The film, which also stars 9-year-old Jacob Tremblay, chronicles the story of 5-year-old Jack and his mother (Larson) escaping from the underground room where they have been held captive for five years.

“The whole process was really taxing, and that’s why it was really important to me to understand and have clear boundaries,” she told Us Weekly at the 2016 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday, February 27. “A huge part of it is not just knowing her, but knowing myself so I could have a clear distinction between the two. I made very pointed choices, because I had to go on a diet and I couldn’t be in the sun. There were so many sacrifices I had to make personally, that I wanted to make sure that at the end of the day when I came home from a day of work into that foreign apartment in Toronto, that it smelled like home.”
