Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher Make First Red Carpet Appearance!

Carrie Underwood and fiance, hockey player Mike Fisher, made their first official red carpet appearance Monday night at the annual Sens' Soiree fundraiser at the Hilton Lac Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec.
With her hair pulled back in an elegant ponytail, Underwood, 26, smiled and laughed, as Fisher, 29, stood by her side. (For even more shots of the happy couple, pick up the new issue of Us Weekly on newsstands Wednesday!)

The couple confirmed to UsMagazine.com that they got engaged days before Christmas and are aiming to wed sometime next summer.

How are plans going?
"I bought a lot of magazines and am cutting out pictures," Underwood told Us earlier this month. "I have a folder and I cut out pictures and glue them in. It’s in kind of a binder thing."

She said she isn't sure who she wants to design her dress, but will probably go with "someone I’ve worked with before that I know I can work well with."
She added that she wants something "pretty traditional, maybe with flowers on it -- not like real flowers!"
In a Jan. 2 interview with the Ottawa radio show "Grecosize," she said Fisher has been very involved in all the planning as well.

"He jumps in, and he always says he doesn't," said Underwood. "He's like, 'Oh, I don't care. Just whatever you want!'...But then I go and ask him, 'What do you think about this?' and he'll go 'Oh, no,' and he'll weigh in. "I think he's going to be more involved than he initially thought he wanted to be, which is good. I need help."

I'm not against with Mike.. Well, in fact I like him for Carrie, since they are both Christian, and Mike is a devoted one.. Good for Carrie.. But for the appearance wise, I totally want Chace Crawford for her.. The two looks good together.... They're both blond, and all that... But, whatever Carrie wants to, like her family, I'll support her! I hope I will receive an invitation card for her wedding, and that will be the greatest achievement in my life... :-D

I mean he looks like the man who is capable of fixing roofs, plumbing etc and yet still be exceptionally hot while doing it.. *sigh..* And Carrie, without a doubt, is a beautiful person inside and out.. I just think it was a little quick to get engaged...they have been dating a year, but they probably didn't even see eachother that much during that year, with him being an NHL player and her being a famous singer...they both seem like nice people, but I just don't know if it'll work out considering I don't think they really know eachother that well.

Oh... those scruffy gyts are the hottest. Yummy. I am happy for both of them. They look good together; relaxed and happy. And her future inlaws adore her. Her family is also very out of the spot light. No carpet huggers/camera baggers.
Carrie is beaming. I am so happy for her that she found a guy like Mike. Romo wants all the spotlight on him; not on his girlfriend. Stork guy; not good. Sometimes, it's difficult for rich and famous girl like Carrie to find a decent and honest person. Mike can stand on his own feet and his family is also solid and good people. And they got engaged because they are ready to get married. Good for thrm.
